Sam Jones Youth is a great place to learn, to grow, and to be accepted. We welcome visitors as we strive to build community in our group, recognizing that all of us are unique individuals who are loved. While growing spiritually as a community, it is our goal for all youth to understand not only God's place for us but also God's love for us. And, of course, we will have plenty of fun!

Weekly Youth Events

Youth Sunday School

UMYF- United Methodist Youth Fellowship is on Sundays from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Family Life Center. We start off with dinner, and then continue with our program: games, service projects, guest speakers, devotions...it's a different experience every week!

Monday Morning Breakfast- Every Monday at 7:00 AM the youth meets at Chic-Fil-A. If you need a ride to school after breakfast, contact Lindsey ahead of time.

Wednesday Nights- Church-wide dinner is every Wednesday at 5:15. Then from 6:30 to 7:30 the youth meet in the youth room to participate in faith-based discussions.

Wednesdays - Dinner starts at 5:15 and it's $5. Bible Study 6:00-7:30. It's the first of the month so we'll all meet in the big youth room for a Bible Study on a movie. This month's movie is "Miracle on 34th Street".

Sundays - UMYF 5-7!
The youth are doing the Live Nativity on Sunday, December 16 from 5:00 to 7:00. We'll hang out and eat chili in the youth room as we rotate nativity duty. Bring your favorite Christmas movie or board game. And don't miss the Christmas music program right after that in the Sanctuary.
Sunday, December 23. Meet at the church for a Progressive Dinner Christmas Party. We need a few adults to volunteer to drive, please. Everyone bring a $5 wrapped gift for a boy or a girl. The last stop will be at my house, and I have 8 different flavors of hot chocolate, so you don't want to miss out.

Prayer Chain - During Advent there will be a prayer chain on the Christmas tree in the youth room. If you have a prayer request, please write it on one of the strips of paper and add a link to the chain. If you would like to pray for one of the prayer requests, just take a link off the chain and take it home with you and pray!

Senior High Breakfast - Sr. High- Monday mornings meet at Chic-Fil-A at 7:00.

Junior High Breakfast - Jr. High- Tuesday mornings meet at Riverwalk Bakery at 7:00.

Ski Trip - The final payment of the ski trip is $125. If you have not paid that, please do so now. The ski trip is in 27 days! Yay!!!!

Seniors - You need to turn your senior pictures in to the church office. You can send them in the regular mail or bring it by, we'll scan it and give it back, or you can email me your picture.
