United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women would like to extend to you a special invitation to join our group, the largest organized group of women in the world.

The purpose of UMW is to know God and to learn to express our love through fellowship and service, to meet human needs within the community, our church, and throughout the world.

Our unit of United Methodist Women meets monthly, with summer off for vacation. The small groups, called Bible Links, meet once a month, some in the morning, some in the afternoon and some in the evening, giving you the choice of a time most convenient for you. Our monthly meetings include catered luncheons at noon, so that our working ladies may join us on their lunch hour, and three evening meetings during the year, also geared to the ladies who are busy during the day.

We are involved in many interest groups and feel certain that one would offer activities you would enjoy.

Our pledges of money go to meet many needs, but our special "pet" project is the Murphy-Harpst Center for disturbed children in Cedartown, Georgia.
