Ministry Staff
Bill Burch Senior Minister Bill Burch was appointed to Sam Jones as the senior minister in 2000. He typically preaches all three worship services on Sunday mornings. He also writes a weekly column for The Daily Tribune News. His articles can be found under "The Pastor's Blog."	Dee Dee Lawson Associate Pastor Dee Dee is a commissioned elder in the United Methodist Church and joined the Sam Jones staff in 2008. Her primary responsibility is congregational care. She also provides leadership in worship and other vital areas of the church's life.

Brian McLeod
Minister of Music
Brian McLeod is the full time Minister of Music and Worship. He joined the staff in 2000 as the church organist. In 2009, he transitioned into his current position. Brian is active in the community and directs the Etowah Chorale.

Alison Wright
Minister of Discipleship
Alison Wright serves as the Minister of Discipleship. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Masters of Christian Education degree from Asbury Seminary. Alison oversees the church's educational ministry for children and adults.

Ministry Directors
Matt Flournoy Youth Coordinator Matt Flournoy serves as the Youth Coordinator, overseeing the church's ministry wtih middle and high school teenagers. Matt worked for over a decade as a youth counselor prior to serving part-time on the church staff. Matt is married to Melanie who teaches in the Bartow County school system.	Judy Smith Director of Children's Learning Center Judy is the longtime director of the Children's Learning Center which meets on weekdays during the school year. We are proud of the high quality program that this ministry offers for the children in our congregation and community. Judy also serves as our Finance Secretary and works with Mona Lewis, the Business Manager.

Linda Benton
Director of Church Growth and Evangelism
Linda is the first person most guests meet at Sam Jones. Her warm welcome makes everyone feel at home. In addition to her church ministry, she is also very active in the community.

Support Staff

Merry Bearden Church Administrator Merry has worn multiple hats during her career on the church staff. She began as a Children's Learning Center teacher and then became the Director of Christian Education. She now works in the front office as the Church Administrator.	Jo Clark Director of Communications Jo keeps our website up-to-date and creates "This Week at Sam Jones" and "The Voice". She also creates logos, artwork and brochures for most of our ministries.
Emma Gilmer Part Time Church Receptionist Emma is the heart and soul of our church staff. Even after "retiring," she still assists in the church office and serves as our part time receptionist.	Becky Johnson Church Receptionist Becky's joyful spirit is contagious. She is the cheerful voice you hear on the phone and the smiling face who greets you at the church office.
Mona Lewis Business Manager Mona works in the church's business office along with Judy Smith. Together they are stewards of the church's financial resources.	Gloria Moody Church Hostess Gloria's ministry of hospitality makes everyone feel at home with good food and fellowship. She works with a dedicated group of volunteers to provide delicious meals on Wednesday nights and other occasions.
Jodi Shaw Director of Children's Ministries Jodi is the part-time Director of Children's Ministries and oversees the children's programming for Wednesday nights and special events. She works with infants through fifth grade.	Ron Richards Buildings and Grounds Supervisor During his tenure, Ron has supervised the construction of the Family Life Center and the renovation of the Education Building and the Sanctuary. His experience in the business world has made him an ideal supervisor for our buildings and grounds.
Matthew Mallory Housekeeping Matthew is responsible for maintaining our buildings. In partnership with an outside cleaning service, he keeps everything fresh and clean.
